Welcome to Bettlehem. Over the course of a year, we follow a cast of intriguing characters through life’s ups and downs—joys and sorrows alike.
The residents of Bettlehem face major challenges with delightful ingenuity and a stubborn conviction that they are in the right. Their unique ways of solving problems will offer the reader plenty of laughs and, hopefully, some reflections on today’s world.
The book will be released in may 2026.

Town engineer-stubborn as hell-communist
Happy owners of the city's pastry shop.
City police officer and DJ. Loves to give long lectures on music history.
The town's doctor who cures illnesses with prescription medications but also with a huge shelf of his own herbal preparations. In an emergency, also the town's veterinarian.
The town's priest. Loves dogs and betting. Combines both rebellious socialism and Christianity.
Belongs to the city's political elite but is mostly interested in selling a lot and cheaply. Sees potential business opportunities in every situation.
Leader of the Conservative Party in the city. Owner of the city's funfair. Won an elephant in poker.
Retired lecturer in history and chairman of the council - sometimes it's hard to keep conflicting political wills apart .
The city's philosopher - lonely soul with a lot of empathy to solve relationship problems.
